Munich to Trieste - Day Three

The third day of the cycle ride took Team GSF over 82 miles from Schladming to Klopeiner See, a lake near the small town of Völkermarkt in Austria. Due to the amount of snow that had fallen over the pass, all of the riders had to make a last minute change of route but everyone arrived safely.

The team are now half way through their trip and as you can see, are surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery that Austria has to offer!

Munich to Trieste - Day Two

Day two of the Munich to Trieste cycle ride took Team GSF 60 miles north from Salzburg, up to the Austrian mining of Schladming.

All of the cyclists broke into different groups and despite a few directional problems, everyone arrived safely and with an average speed of 39.6 miles per hour!

Munich to Trieste - Day One

Team GSF members, Shane Wheeler-Osman, Paul Newman and David Brown got off to a great start in the Munich to Trieste cycle ride today. The team started at 8am and cycled for 108 miles from the German city of Munich down to Salzburg in Austria.

A great day was had by all, with no accidents and everyone managed to arrived safely.

Team GSF are in the final few days of preparation for the Munich to Trieste cycle ride. The team are looking forward to the challenging, yet exciting, cycle ride and would like to thank everyone for their kind support and donations so far.

GSF welcomes Zahn Nel

Zahn Nel

Working with large blue chip clients for almost 10 years now within the facilities industry, the latest staff member to join GSF is Zahn Nel. Zahn has vast experience in specialist commercial services such as stone cleaning and restoration, pest control, hygiene cleaning and void clearance. His enthusiasm, determination and expertise will be a valuable asset to ensure we continue to grow our portfolio in London, where Zahn has joined the team as Business Development Manager.

Zahn said, "I am looking forward to working with the GSF team in London to raise the company profile and secure more corporate clients across various market sectors."


First contract for Lauren Casey

We would like to congratulate Lauren Casey for successfully securing her first new contract with GSF. GSF were awarded the daily office cleaning for a new client based in Central London, which will help expand our presence within the Capital. A smooth start up was seen at the beginning of May, with the client being happy with their new cost savings and reliability of the GSF team.


Team GSF go to a ride!

On 25th May 2013, members of the GSF team will be taking part in the Munich to Trieste charity cycle ride which will take them from the German state of Bavaria right right to border of Italy and Slovenia.

The 405 mile journey will take Team GSF five days to complete but will take them through some beautiful and memorable scenary.

  • Day 1 Munich-Salzburg
  • Day 2 Salzburg-Schladming
  • Day 3 Schladming-Sankt Kanzian am Kloppeiner see (via 1800m Solk pass)
  • Day 4 Sankt Kanzian am Kloppeiner see-Ljubljana (over 1300m pass at border)
  • Day 5 Ljubljana-Trieste

Mr Wheeler-Osman, Managing Director, would take to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their kind donations, helping Team GSF to reach over £3,000 in sponsorship to date. The GSF team are hoping to raise in excess of £5,000.


The GSF team dress up for charity

GSF Charity Event

To bring a little colour to the office last Friday, the GSF team swapped their shirts and ties for hats and masks. Everyone at the office took part including Tigger, Iron Man, a hippy and even some pirates!

Mr Wheeler-Osman took the opportunity to thank everyone for taking part in the event which helped raise extra sponsorships for the upcoming cycle ride.

The next charity event has been scheduled to take place in April at the GSF London office.


GSF welcomes Lauren Casey

The GSF team would like to welcome on board their latest member of staff.

Lauren Casey joined GSF just before Christmas as the new Business Development Manager, covering the London M25 area. Having previously worked for a large recycling and waste management company for over 7 years, Lauren has a wealth of experience within the industry and is perfectly suited to her new role.

Lauren is keen to utilise her strong communication and relationship-building skills to help grow the GSF portfolio in 2013.

Mr Wheeler-Osman, the Managing Director of GSF would like to wish Lauren the best of luck in her new careers and hopes that she enjoys her new challenge.
