At GSF UK, our SQES Awards celebrate individuals who go beyond the day-to-day to make a meaningful difference.
These awards are driven by nominations, recognising those who have reported major hazards, introduced safety innovations, improved service quality, and contributed positively to the environment and wider community. Each of our winners has taken action that improves the workplace or supports others, whether that is challenging unsafe workplace practices, even when under pressure, or taking the initiative to create better spaces for colleagues and communities.
For the 2025 edition, we presented awards to our outstanding operatives, Christopher Armitstead, Emilia Barroso, Helen Thomas, Janey Kerr, Kerry Tunbridge, Lesley Henderson, Lynne Hiller, Nicola Rossiter, Raimundo Abilio and Richard Hubball.
The following managers were also awarded for their leadership: Becky Haley, Georgina Hedges, Nuno Ferreira, Pedro Aleixo, Samuel Baker and Sandra Trigueiros.
Their actions reflect the excellence we stand for and the positive impact our people make every day in the workplace. Congratulations to all, and we look forward to receiving nominations for 2026!
